Although this snazzy picture to the left of Taiki portrays her as a woman, when she is introduced into the Stars Arc she is disguised as a man.Also, Taiki's given name is "Kou" like the other starlights, for sanity's sake she is refered to as Taiki. According to Naoko's notes, she is an internal egoist and she has a poker face. In the anime, the Three Lights seem to change physically into their male forms. As Taiki Kou, he is a reluctant pop idol Star who transfers into Usagi's school. And to Ami's dismay, he was even able to get the #1 slot at exams and defeated her by 1 point. He is extremely intelligent, and he also seems to 'take over' the high school's computer club. In the anime, Taiki seems to be a lot colder and the most focused on their mission. Not only that, his anime counterpart at first does not believe in love or romance. He is always by Seiya and Yaten's side, and he is always sincerely dedicated to their mission.

The Soldier: Sailor Star Maker
Taiki first transforms into Sailor Star Maker at their joined concert with Haruka and Michiru. After Sailor Aluminum Siren had been defeated, they instantly teleported before the senshi could question them. Aloof and mysterious, the Starlights continue to search for their princess as they disguise themselves as idols. Although Taiki is not fond of their fan base, she is willing to put up with that nuisance to find their princess. When the Starlights were confronted by Sailor Mars and Venus, their transformation proved that they had the power of the stars. When they are reunited with Princess Kakyuu at, we learn that they are originally from Tankei Kingdom on the planet of Kinmoku. And it is their mission to protect their princess at all cost, much like the planetary princesses for their own princess. The starlights and Princess Kakyuu accompany Eternal Sailor Moon to the final battleground, Zero Star Sagittarius, but after their battle with Lethe and Mnemosyne they are killed by Sailor Phi and Chi, who steal their star crystals. It is speculated that they are returned to their home planet after Chaos is contained within the Galaxy Cauldron.
