He shows himself to Usagi and ChibiUsa during the Eclipse, and tells them that he is searching for a maiden with a beautiful dream. He also reveals that the beautiful maiden will be able to break the seal on the Golden Crystal. Mamoru also sees Pegasus in his dreams as the lung shadow in his chest makes him incredibly sick. Helios takes particular interest in ChibiUsa, and even allows her to ride on his back to show her the darkness surrounding the Dead Moon Circus, and believes that she is the maiden he is searching for. Little by little, he reveals his true intentions and what is at stake.

The Priest Later on, we learn that Helios is trapped by Queen Nehellenia inside of a cage. His energy is also linked with Chiba Mamoru's and the Earth, and that he is formally known as Priest Helios of Elysion, the land of beautiful dreams. Helios finds power through prayer, and this power is another layer of protection around the planet earth. However, his powers were not enough and Queen Nehellenia and the Dead Moon Circus were able to slip into Earth during the eclipse. Now, more than ever, the seal on the Golden Crystal must be broken in order to save Elision. Helios also tells Usagi and Mamoru that the Golden Crystal is somewhere within Mamoru. When Sailor ChibiMoon arrives in Elysion, she finds Pegasus trapped within the cage. After they defeat Queen Nehellenia, the love found within her pure kiss allows him to finally re-awaken. Because of this, Sailor ChibiMoon also re-awakens and creates the Pink Moon Crystal. After the intense battle with the Dead Moon Circus, Helios returns Elysion to its true form and bids farewell to ChibiUsa, and promises to return to her.

Maenads

The Priestesses First appearance: Act 40, Volume 14
The Maenads the two priestesses, or mikos, reside within Elysion and guard the shrine. When Usagi and Mamoru meet them in the Dead Moon Circus Arc, they are sleeping and are protected from the curse that Elysion is suffering from. They only appear in the manga and they do not have individual names. They both wear ondagos, and appear to be soft spoken and petite. They seem to be very kind, and want to protect their home and the Land of Dreams with Helios. There is very little information known about these two characters since they play a very small role in the Sailor Moon series.
