The Shitennou: Jadeite

Jadeite, the General of the Far Eastern Division, is a typical, 18-year old beautiful person. He is ruthless, serious, and the first underling of the Dark Kingdom to confront the senshi. He seemed to be the most loyal to his master, Queen Beryl, but his reign only lasted a mere 3 arcsacts, and he wasn't even named until the second one. In a famous colored illustration, Jadeite is paired with Sailor Mars. And during the side story, Casablanca Memory, which featured Rei's past while she was still getting to know the other senshi, she recalls her crush on Kaidou, a man who worked for Rei's father. For some reason, Jadeite's face and Kaidou's seem to merge as he pulls her into a kiss. Although Naoko has played with the idea of each senshi being a couple with the Shittenou, they are not an official couple. Although Jadeite is a good looking man who is calculating, he is unsuccessful in defeating the senshi. In the manga, he is defeated by Rei who awakens as Sailor Mars. After he had been turned into a skeleton, Nephrite preserved his body inside of a coffin made of glass. Towards the end of the Dark Kingdom arc, he is revived and he recalls his memories of the Earth Kingdom, when he used to serve for Prince Endymion. But he had since been reverted to his "stone" form, and is kept by Chiba Mamoru.
